Discover Animal Sounds Farm, a fun game that helps students match animals to their sounds and enhances their learning experience!

How to Play

When the game starts, a sound will play. Students should listen to the sound and click the animal that makes it. If they answer correctly, the animal buttons will reset, the streak counter will increase by one, and a new sound will play. If they guess incorrectly, the animal they clicked will be crossed out, the streak counter will be reset to 0, and the animal’s sound will play again.

You can replay the sound for the current animal at any time by pressing the Play Button.

Teaching

Animal Sounds Farm is a game that helps your students practice matching animals to their sounds. Our other game, Animal Sounds Pets, helped students practice animals around the home. This Game is for practising five common farm animals.

  1. sheep
  2. horse
  3. cow
  4. chicken
  5. pig

Game Ideas

Game 1: Keep the Streak

The goal here is to see how high you can raise the streak counter.

The teacher presses the Play Sound button and asks the students to say the animal’s name. The teacher can press the button repeatedly to help students get used to the sound.

The teacher then calls up one of the students who said the correct answer to press the correct animal.

Game 2: Taking Turns

This is the standard; everyone gets a go game.

The teacher can play the sound and call up each student in turn to try it. Students should listen to the sound, say the word and then choose an animal.

Game 3: It’s Not Me

In this game, the students need to cross all the animals, except the one that makes the sound.

The teacher can click the correct animal at the end of the round to get a new animal sound or press the New Game Button to reset the game.

This game can be used when you want to teach the sentence “it’s not a cow”

Game 4: Yes, it is, No it isn’t

This game can also be used to teach “yes, it is” and “No, it isn’t.” You can have one student be the farmer, they can press the play sound button, and another student can ask. “Is it a cow?” Depending on the sound they hear, the farmer can answer with “yes, it is,” or “No, it isn’t”.
