Dog Race is a two-player tapper game that can be used as a reward or decision game in the classroom. It’s a fun way to teach running, racing, and competition.
Instructions
- Click the play button to reset the game.
- Tap the button to move the dog. The blue button moves the blue dog, and the pink button moves the pink dog.
- The winner is the first dog to reach the bone.
This is a two-player tapper game. This was built for the classroom and is not as good as an online game. However, you can use it as a scoring game for online classes.

Teaching
It can be a fun game to play during breaks or as a way to determine a winner or reward. I have used it to teach running, racing, and competition.
A Scoring Game
Open this game while you engage in an off-screen activity. Divide the class into two teams and assign them a colour, pink or blue. Each time a team scores a point in class, move their dog one or two taps forward. As the dogs can only move forward, there is no way to remove a point when necessary. To compensate, give the other team a couple of extra points.
As Decision Game
This can also be used as an alternative to rock paper scissors. Two players tap at the board until one is the winner.
